Hormuz Oil Exports Surge with Shuttle Tanker Boost
Oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz have increased due to the use of shuttle tankers, according to Victoria Mitchell, Control Risks' Senior Analyst for Maritime. This development has contributed to oil prices steadying after gaining early on October 1st.
The price of crude rose for a third month in September, despite Washington and Tehran's failure to make headway toward a lasting peace agreement that would fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
Mitchell's comments came during an appearance on Horizons Middle East & Africa, where she discussed the impact of shuttle tankers on oil exports through the strategic waterway.
