Hormuz Oil Shipments Surge Amid Tensions
Oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz have significantly increased to an average of about 13.2 million barrels per day over the past week, according to tracking data from maritime platform Kpler.
This represents roughly 77 percent of pre-war levels, a notable recovery given the ongoing tensions in the region.
Iran has proposed a plan to fully reopen the Strait within a week, with talks underway to implement this plan. However, Iran has also stepped up attacks on vessels trying to cross the waterway.
