The six-month conflict between Iran, the United States, and Israel has escalated into a devastating economic and military standoff, with the vital energy corridor of the Strait of Hormuz becoming its primary battleground. Iranian lawmaker Alireza Salimi described the strait as 'more powerful than nukes' due to its strategic control over 20% of global oil supply and massive amounts of liquefied natural gas (LNG), allowing Iran to inflict severe, asymmetric damage on the global economy without needing a nuclear arsenal.
