Hormuz Trade Rises as Middle East Oil Exports Increase Amid Iran Conflict

Despite the ongoing war with Iran, Middle East oil exporters have managed to increase their exports, thanks in part to rising liquefied natural gas (LNG) traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.

According to recent data, months into the conflict, Gulf exporters have found ways to keep oil and gas moving. However, crossing the Strait of Hormuz remains a risky endeavor, with some customers still missing contracted cargoes.

The increase in LNG traffic has been particularly notable, with shipments passing through the strait increasing as part of efforts to diversify exports and reduce reliance on traditional routes.
