Yemeni Houthi rebels have significantly disrupted shipping traffic through the Bab el-Mandeb strait, causing delays in oil exports from Saudi Arabia. Eleven commodity vessels passed through the strait on Sunday, down from previous months, according to Kpler's shipping data.

The Houthi attack targeted Saudi Aramco facilities in Jizan and Yanbu on Saturday, with group spokesperson Yahya Saree confirming the strike. The rebels aim to blockade Saudi exports as part of their conflict with the US-backed government in Yemen.

Seven vessels passed through the Strait of Hormuz daily over the weekend, despite a pause in US-Iran strikes in the Middle East, Kpler's data also showed.
