Houthi Attacks on Saudi Oil Facilities Leave at Least 73 Wounded

A series of Houthi attacks on Saudi oil facilities in Yemen has left at least 73 people wounded and halted operations at some energy sites, according to the Saudi energy ministry. The attacks, which were carried out by Iran-aligned Houthis, erupted into fires at multiple locations.

The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen stated that the attacks targeted the southern cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran. The coalition vowed to respond firmly to the latest escalation on the de facto OPEC leader, calling it 'dangerous.'

Nasruddin Amer, deputy head of the Houthi media office, praised the attacks, saying that Saudi Arabia has understood that it can no longer commit crimes against Yemenis without response. The Houthis have been launching attacks on Saudi Arabia since they declared a naval blockade against Riyadh in July.
