Houthi Attacks Send Oil Prices Soaring Amid Global Energy Concerns
Oil prices are surging amid fresh attacks by the Houthis on various facilities in Saudi Arabia. The latest incidents have resulted in significant losses for the oil industry, causing a ripple effect in global markets.
The Brent crude oil futures for November delivery have jumped to $107.17 per barrel on the ICE Futures stock exchange in London, marking a 2.45% increase from the previous trading session's closing price. This comes after prices had dropped by 2.81% last Friday to $104.61 per barrel.
Similarly, WTI crude oil futures for October delivery have increased by 2.56% to $102.61 per barrel in online trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX). They had previously dropped by 2.37% to $100.05 per barrel in the previous session.
Notably, both oil prices have risen more than 8% over the past week, indicating a growing concern among investors about the stability of global energy supplies.
