A Yemeni resident of Saudi Arabia was killed by debris from an intercepted Houthi drone on Thursday in the western province of Taif, according to the Saudi civil defense.

This marks the first civilian casualty since the Iran-backed rebels increased their attacks against the kingdom, targeting Saudi shipping and oil facilities.

The debris damaged vehicles and buildings, injuring two other people, including a Saudi woman and a Pakistani resident who is in critical condition. The statement from the civil defense did not give details on when exactly this happened.
