Houthi Drone Attack Kills Yemeni Resident in Saudi Arabia
A Yemeni resident of Saudi Arabia was killed and two others injured when debris from an intercepted Houthi drone fell in Taif province. The incident is the first civilian casualty since the Iran-backed rebels increased their attacks against the kingdom, targeting Saudi shipping and oil facilities.
The Saudi civil defense reported that a Saudi woman and a Pakistani resident were among those injured, with the Pakistani man's condition described as critical. Vehicles and buildings in the area were also damaged by the debris.
The Houthi rebels have been escalating their attacks on Saudi Arabia, including an attempted attack on Mecca, Islam's holiest city, which was intercepted by Saudi authorities. The Houthis denied any involvement in the attempt to attack Mecca.
