Houthi Forces Target Saudi Oil Tanker in Gulf of Aden
The Houthi movement in Yemen has claimed responsibility for an attack on a Saudi oil tanker called Daisy in the Gulf of Aden. The group's military spokesman, Yahya Saree, said the attack was part of their campaign to enforce a maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia.
According to Saree, the Houthi forces targeted the vessel with a ballistic missile, which successfully hit its target and forced the tanker to turn back. There has been no immediate comment from Saudi authorities or the vessel's operator.
The attack comes as part of the Houthi movement's efforts to enforce their demands against Saudi Arabia. Saree warned that Houthi forces would continue targeting Saudi oil tankers until their demands are met.
