Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan discussed security delegation visits on the sidelines of a ministerial meeting in Amman. The talks covered preparations for an upcoming Iraqi security delegation visit to Saudi Arabia, as well as Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi's planned trip to the kingdom.

The discussions came a week after joint US-Saudi airstrikes targeted Iranian-aligned groups in Iraq. The strikes killed at least 20 members of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and wounded 32 others, causing extensive damage.

Hussein posted details of the meeting on social media, saying that the talks also covered regional security developments and their impact on oil export routes and energy supplies.
