Yemen's Houthi rebel faction has launched a series of drone strikes on Saudi energy infrastructure, targeting key facilities in eastern Saudi Arabia. According to Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree, the attacks were carried out in response to the penetration of Saudi drones into Yemeni airspace.

The targets included sensitive points for the supply and transport of crude oil from eastern Saudi Arabia to Yanbu, a major refining complex. Anecdotal reports suggest damage in the vicinity of the massive Abqaiq refinery, which was previously targeted by Iranian forces.

Satellite imaging confirms that the Jizan refining complex continues to burn, several days after Houthi attacks on the mega-facility. The Houthi group also claims to have downed a Saudi drone over the northern border region, although this has not been confirmed by Saudi forces.
