Houthi Strikes on Saudi Aramco Amid Delayed US Military Action Against Iran
The Houthi military spokesperson claimed that the group launched two large-scale attacks on Saudi Aramco facilities in response to coalition airstrikes on Yemen's Hodeidah province. The attacks, which included dozens of ballistic missiles and attack drones, targeted sensitive sites and facilities belonging to Saudi Arabia's national oil company in the Jizan region and Yanbu industrial area.
The spokesperson, Yahya Saree, said that the operations were carried out as part of efforts to defend Yemeni territory and warned that Houthi forces would continue enforcing a maritime blockade against Saudi shipping. He also stated that further measures would be taken based on developments in the coming days.
In related news, an Israeli media report claimed that US President Donald Trump had postponed a planned large-scale strike against Iran to allow additional time for diplomacy. According to the report, Oman and Qatar exerted significant pressure on Iranian officials to demonstrate greater flexibility before any military operation began.
