Houthis Attack Aramco Facility as Iran Demands Negotiation Restart
The Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen have claimed responsibility for an attack on an oil facility in southwestern Saudi Arabia. The facility, which is owned by Aramco, has been a target of multiple attacks in recent years.
The Houthis have been involved in a long-running conflict with the Saudi-led coalition, and have carried out numerous attacks on Saudi targets, including military installations and oil infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Iran has made new demands regarding the restart of negotiations and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. The Pentagon is also pressing the US defense industry to accelerate production of weapons.
