Houthis Bombard Saudi Oil Tankers, Blockade Remains Firm
The Houthi rebels in Yemen have targeted three Saudi oil tankers within 48 hours, forcing several vessels to retreat from the Bab al-Mandab Strait. The group claims its naval blockade remains fully in force and warns that Saudi-linked shipping will continue to be denied passage.
According to the Houthis, sixteen Saudi vessels were forced to retreat over the past week. This development follows reports of a downed Saudi-operated Bayraktar Akıncı drone, raising concerns over regional security, global trade routes, and energy supplies.
