Houthis Claim Attack on Aramco Oil Facility in Saudi Arabia

The Houthi rebels in Yemen claimed responsibility for an attack on an Aramco oil facility in southwestern Saudi Arabia. The attack, which occurred on Sunday, targeted an Aramco refinery in the city of Jazan with a drone.

The Houthi military spokesperson, Yahya Saree, stated that the attack was in response to Saudi drones breaching Yemen's airspace over the provinces of Hajjah and Saada. The Saudi Energy Ministry reported a fire at an Aramco facility without casualties, but did not specify its cause.

This attack is part of a series of missile and drone attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and its shipping in the Red Sea. A Yemeni government official confirmed that the Houthis also attacked a crucial port on the Red Sea, Mocha port, which is one of the main ports under Yemen's internationally recognized government.
