Nexa Resources reported strong second-quarter results, driven by higher metal prices and improved operations in Peru and Brazil. The company's adjusted EBITDA rose 78% year over year to $286 million, while net income was $98 million, or $0.52 per share.

The increase in earnings was attributed to favorable pricing across the metal portfolio, with silver prices averaging 117% higher than in the second quarter of 2025. Zinc and copper prices also contributed to revenue and byproduct credits.

Nexa's mining performance was a key driver of the results, with zinc production increasing 8% year over year to 79,000 tonnes. The company's Aripuanã operation treated more than 50,000 tonnes of tailings in June, supporting average plant feed rates of 249 tonnes per hour.

The smelting segment also showed improvement, despite a fire at the Cajamarquilla smelter in May. Smelting net revenue reached $584 million and adjusted EBITDA rose 162% year over year to $66 million.
