Houthis Claim Responsibility for Attacks on Saudi Oil Facilities

The Iran-aligned Houthi rebels in Yemen claimed responsibility for attacking Saudi oil facilities on Saturday, escalating tensions between the two sides.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the group had fired dozens of missiles and drones at installations affiliated with the Saudi oil giant Aramco in the cities of Jazan and Yanbu.

The attacks were a response to Saudi strikes in the Houthi-controlled coastal city of Hodeidah on Friday night, according to Saree.

Saudi authorities did not confirm the alleged Houthi strikes, but issued danger warnings in Jazan and Yanbu without giving further details.
