Houthis Launch Ballistic Missile Attack on Riyadh, Targeting Sensitive Sites

Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh was attacked by Yemen's Houthi rebels on Saturday, with a plume of black smoke seen over King Khalid International Airport.

The attack came after an alert was sent to residents in the capital urging them to stay indoors due to potential aerial attacks. No casualties or damage were reported.

Houthi military spokesperson Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree claimed they attacked with cruise and ballistic missiles as well as drones, targeting 'sensitive sites' in Riyadh and facilities of Saudi oil giant Aramco in Yanbu, causing 'massive fires.'

The attack is the latest escalation in fighting between the Iran-backed Houthis and Yemeni government forces backed by the Saudis.
