Houthis Launch Drone Strikes on Saudi Airport and Aramco Facility
The Houthi group in Yemen has claimed responsibility for drone strikes on an airport and an oil facility in Saudi Arabia's Najran region. The attacks were reportedly carried out in response to what the group described as Saudi drone incursions into Yemen's airspace.
Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree stated that the group launched two drone strikes, targeting a 'sensitive target' at Najran airport and an Aramco facility. Saree claimed that both attacks 'achieved their objectives', but did not provide further details about possible casualties or damage.
The latest claims come amid escalating tensions between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia. The Yemeni government forces have also been conducting military operations against Houthi positions, with 81 operations reported over the past 24 hours.
