Houthis Launch Latest Attack on Saudi Shipping in Red Sea

Yemen's Houthi rebels have launched another attack on Saudi shipping in the Red Sea. In a televised speech, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree announced that a vessel had been targeted off the coast of Yanbu, a major oil port in Saudi Arabia.

The 'Amzan', a ship owned by Saudi national shipping company Bahri, was involved in a maritime incident earlier on Monday. Fortunately, all crew members are safe and there have been no reports of injuries or environmental damage.

The UK Maritime Trade Operations agency had already reported that a tanker had been struck by an unknown projectile 63 nautical miles west of Yanbu, but did not specify the owner of the vessel.

This is just one of several recent attacks on Saudi oil facilities and shipping in the Red Sea. In July, the Houthis claimed to have targeted Aramco facilities in Yanbu.
