Riyadh, Saudi Arabia was hit by missile and drone attacks on Saturday, according to Yemen's Houthi group. The strikes targeted 'sensitive' sites in the capital city.

The Houthis said they had also attacked an Aramco facility in Yanbu, a key oil export hub on the Red Sea coast. Saudi Arabia had sent alerts overnight warning of potential danger around Riyadh, amid an escalation in attacks by the Houths in the kingdom.

A Reuters video and photographs showed a huge pillar of black smoke rising from King Khalid International Airport, with flames visible rising from behind what appeared to be fuel tanks. The airport highway, main terminal building, and other facilities were in the foreground.
