Houthis Strike Jizan Refinery Again, Threatening Saudi Oil Exports

Saudi Aramco's Jizan refinery has been hit by another attack from Houthi forces, threatening the major Red Sea refining hub. This is the third time in just a few months that the facility has come under attack. The Financial Times reported that the refinery was struck on Monday, citing two people with knowledge of the incident.

The scale of the damage is not yet clear, but it's described as similar to the attack last month that temporarily disrupted operations. Aramco has not commented on the latest damage, and no group has been confirmed as responsible for the attack.

Jizan has become a repeated target since fighting between Saudi Arabia and Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis resumed this summer. The refinery's location on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast is increasingly important due to the war with Iran disrupting exports through the Strait of Hormuz.
