Houthis Strike Saudi Air Base Amid Escalating Conflict

The conflict between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi forces in Yemen has escalated after reports of missile and drone attacks targeting areas including Abha, Khamis Mushait, and Jizan. The Houthi forces have reportedly targeted the King Khalid Air Base, while fires were also reported near areas linked to Saudi oil infrastructure.

The escalation comes after the Houthis accused Saudi Arabia of carrying out a deadly air strike on a prison in Yemen's Al-Jawf, claiming at least seven people were killed. The competing claims have raised fresh questions over Saudi Arabia's defense arrangements and the future of the reported Mecca defense pact.
