Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi militants fired on Saudi oil installations in two ports on the Red Sea coast, causing potential damage to fuel and oil storage sites. The attacks occurred at Jizan and Yanbu, with the latter being a major port for Saudi oil exports.

The U.S., which has been conducting air strikes on Iran in retaliation for Iranian attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, held back from launching new strikes against Tehran for the first time in two weeks. This comes after President Donald Trump directed the military not to conduct new strikes against Iran, showing a preference for diplomacy.

The U.S.-made Patriot battery operated by the Greek military intercepted ballistic missiles aimed at oil installations in Yanbu, preventing potential damage. The Saudi-led coalition has also been bombing Houthi military positions, including in the Red Sea port of Hodeidah.
