The Houthi movement in Yemen has claimed to have targeted several key oil transport sites in Saudi Arabia, including those linking eastern regions to the Red Sea export hub of Yanbu.

This comes after Saudi state oil giant Aramco did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the matter.

The operation was reportedly carried out in response to what Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree described as 'Saudi drone incursions into Yemeni airspace'.
