Houthis Threaten Saudi Arabia with 'All-Out War' over Blockade

A senior Houthi official has threatened to expand the group's military operations into Saudi Arabia, targeting oil facilities and economic infrastructure. Hizam al-Asad, a member of the Houthi political bureau, said the movement could bring oil production and exports to a halt if a blockade and failure to meet reconstruction and salary commitments continued.

Al-Asad claimed that the Houthis had carried out missile and drone strikes against military reinforcements and weapons depots in Marib, Al-Jawf, and Mokha. He described these attacks as 'preventive and preemptive' and said they were intended to prevent preparations for a future ground offensive.

The Houthi official reiterated the group's policy of 'blockade for blockade' and 'escalation for escalation', rejecting Saudi Arabia's role as a mediator in the Yemen conflict. He accused Saudi Arabia of seeking to abandon a roadmap and previous understandings by imposing economic conditions and reopening military fronts.
