ICE Canola Futures Decline Amid Mixed Oil Prices
Canola futures on the Intercontinental Exchange declined on Friday in a mixed week for oil prices. The ICE Canola contract prices fell across the board, with Nov losing $11.60 to settle at $822.30 per metric tonne.
The Canadian Grain Commission reported a slight increase in year-to-date canola exports, reaching 709,600 tonnes. However, during the week ended September 13, there was a negligible amount of canola exported.
An analyst pointed out that warm temperatures and sunny skies over the next few days will help advance the region's canola harvest, which may pressure prices in the coming days.
