ICE Launches Derivatives Markets for LNG, Freight, and UK Power
Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) has launched three new derivatives markets for liquefied natural gas (LNG), freight, and UK power. The new markets will allow market participants to trade these commodities as futures contracts.
The LNG derivatives market will provide a platform for buyers and sellers of LNG to manage their price risks. ICE is already a major player in the global LNG market, with its Henry Hub natural gas futures contract being one of the most widely traded gas futures contracts globally.
The freight derivatives market will offer a new way for companies involved in shipping to hedge against fluctuations in fuel prices. This can help them better manage their costs and improve their bottom line.
