IGL Hikes CNG Prices in Delhi Amid West Asia Crisis

State-run Indraprastha Gas (IGL) raised the price of compressed natural gas (CNG) by ₹3.89 per kg in Delhi due to the West Asia crisis, which has caused a shortage of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

The crisis has led to an increase in international LNG prices, with global benchmarks rising sharply since July 2026.

IGL sourced 52% of its natural gas supply through imports during April-June 2026, with an average cost of ₹40-45 per standard cubic meter (SCM).
