IGL Raises CNG Prices by Up to Rs 3.89 per Kilogram in New Delhi and Surrounding Cities
Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has increased the price of compressed natural gas (CNG) by Rs 3.89 per kilogram in New Delhi and surrounding cities. The revised rates came into effect at 6 a.m. on Saturday, August 29. The new CNG price in Delhi is now Rs 86.98 per kilogram, up from the earlier rate of Rs 83.09 per kilogram.
In neighboring cities such as Noida and Ghaziabad, the revised CNG price has been fixed at Rs 95.59 per kilogram. In other areas like Shamli and Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, CNG will cost Rs 95.47 per kilogram, while in Gurugram it is priced at Rs 92.01 per kilogram.
The increase in CNG prices is attributed to the higher spot and prevailing market prices of liquefied natural gas (LNG), which accounts for a significant portion of the gas required for CNG supplies. This marks the fifth price hike this year, with IGL increasing CNG prices in four stages over the past 10 days, resulting in a cumulative increase of Rs 6 per kilogram.
