The International Monetary Fund's (IMF) 2026 outlook for Trinidad and Tobago's energy sector remains cautious due to weak production from mature oil and natural gas fields.

According to the IMF, energy sector growth was only 0.4% in 2024, followed by an estimated contraction of 0.5% in 2025, and is projected to contract further by 4.5% in 2026.
