India Boosts Crude Oil Futures Despite Global Slight Dips
Crude oil futures rose on Tuesday due to strong spot demand in India, despite slight dips globally. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), crude oil for September delivery traded at Rs 8,143 per barrel, a 0.1% increase from the previous day's close.
Analysts noted that participants increased their positions following firm spot demand, which kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.
Meanwhile, globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was trading 0.06% lower at USD 84.96 per barrel, while Brent crude fell 0.14% to USD 92.04 per barrel in New York.
