India Lifts Export Restrictions on Wheat and Durum Wheat

The Indian government has lifted export restrictions on wheat and durum wheat, as well as atta, maida, and related products. According to a notification issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), these exports are now allowed with immediate effect.

The decision applies to wheat covered under ITC (HS) codes 10011900 and 10019910, which were previously listed as prohibited for export. Now, durum wheat can be exported freely, along with wheat itself.

In addition to wheat and durum wheat, the government has also lifted restrictions on wheat flour and related products classified under ITC (HS) code 11010000. This includes atta, maida, samolina or rava/sirgi, wholemeal atta, and resultant atta.
