India Stands Firm Amid Global Energy Crisis
India's energy security was not affected during the global energy crisis, according to Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri.
Puri attributed this success to the government's proactive planning and coordinated response, which ensured uninterrupted access to essential fuels across the country. He stated that India maintained more than adequate fuel reserves throughout the period, with 100% availability of household Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).
The minister highlighted diversification as a key step in safeguarding India's energy security. The government expanded its energy import basket from 27 source nations to 41, reducing dependence on limited suppliers.
