India Vows Uninterrupted LPG Supply Amid Global Price Rise
The Indian government has assured that there will be no disruption in the domestic supply of LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) despite a global price rise. Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Sujata Sharma, stated this during an Inter-Ministerial briefing on Recent Developments in West Asia in New Delhi.
Sharma emphasized that the government has strived to ensure the domestic supply of LPG without any disruption despite increased prices of crude oil and LPG in the international market. She noted that no dry out has been reported at any LPG distributor across the country.
The briefing also covered other topics such as the reduction of 97 percent in container dwell time at western ports, which has brought relief to exporters. This improvement is attributed to better coordination between shipping lines and exporters during the conflict.
