Indian Bullion Market Sees Sharp Decline in Gold and Silver Prices

The Indian bullion market saw significant declines in gold and silver prices on Wednesday, September 2. Gold prices fell by Rs 2,090 to Rs 2,680 per 10 grams across most parts of the country, except Chennai, where it dropped by Rs 1,950 to Rs 2,130 per 10 grams.

Silver prices also declined, falling by up to Rs 5,000 per kilogram in many bullion markets. As a result, 24-carat gold was trading between Rs 1,54,080 and Rs 1,54,630 per 10 grams across most markets, while 22-carat gold was being sold for between Rs 1,41,240 to Rs 1,41,740 per 10 grams.

According to the report, in Delhi, the price of 24-carat gold stood at Rs 1,54,230 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,41,390 per 10 grams. Similar prices were observed in other major cities such as Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

The report also noted that bullion markets in Karnataka, Telangana, and Odisha remained weak during early trading on Wednesday. In these states, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,54,080 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was being sold for Rs 1,41,240 per 10 grams.
