Indian Equities Open Cautiously Amid Global Weakness

Indian equities opened cautiously on Tuesday, following weak global cues and corporate earnings announcements. The BSE Sensex rang in at around 76,800, slipping a little over 30 points from its previous close, while the NSE Nifty50 stood just under 24k, down 18 points.

The domestic market's cautious start comes after benchmark indices staged a sharp rebound in the previous session. Market participants are expected to monitor quarterly earnings announcements from major global technology companies, crude oil prices, and geopolitical tensions through the day's trade.

Most Asia-Pacific markets traded lower on Tuesday, with South Korea's Kospi tumbling more than 8 per cent due to a sharp decline in SK Hynix shares. Japan's Nikkei 225 also witnessed heavy selling, falling 3.84 per cent.
