Indian Equities Tumble as Crude Oil Prices Soar Above $91 Amid Iran-US Tensions

The Indian equity market fell sharply on Tuesday as crude oil prices surged above $91 a barrel amid heightened tensions between Iran and the US.

The Sensex dropped 365 points, or 0.47 percent, to 77,362, hitting an intraday low, while the Nifty traded 76 points lower at 24,211.

The spike in crude oil prices weighed on investor sentiment, with analysts noting that a rise in US 10-year Treasury yields could be negative for foreign institutional investor flows.

However, analysts also pointed out that India's resilient economy and signs of an earnings growth turnaround could provide support to domestic equities.
