Indian Equity Market Set for Muted Start Amid Elevated Crude Oil Prices
The Indian equity market is expected to start on a muted note as signaled by the GIFT Nifty, which was trading 34.50 points lower at 23,144 in early trade on Monday.
Crude oil prices remained elevated after US President Donald Trump rejected Iran's conditions for a ceasefire, with Brent crude oil hovering around $106 per barrel and West Texas Intermediate crude oil up 1% at $93.40 per barrel.
The US 10-year yield was also around 5.21%, adding to the market's concerns.
