The prices of gold and silver in India's domestic market have seen a correction today. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), both precious metals saw a drop in their rates on Monday.

The price of 24-carat gold fell by ₹671, bringing the cost of 10 grams down to ₹1.53 lakh. Meanwhile, silver prices saw a sharper decline, falling by ₹2,346 to trade at ₹2.35 lakh per kilogram.

Despite this dip, precious metals have seen massive growth this year, though prices have remained highly volatile. Gold has become more expensive by ₹20,000 since the start of 2026, rising from ₹1.33 lakh on December 31, 2025 to its current price.
