Indian Gold and Silver Prices Rise Amid Global Cues
Gold and silver prices in India's retail market rose on September 22, as investors tracked global cues. According to APAC Media, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹153,460 per 10 grams in Delhi, while 22-carat gold was quoted at ₹140,672. The price of 999-purity silver stood at ₹239,130 per kg.
Prices varied across major cities, with Mumbai reporting 24-carat gold at ₹151,410 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at ₹138,793. In Bengaluru, 24-carat gold was quoted at ₹153,730 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at ₹140,919.
The MCX gold futures market saw a gain of 0.20%, trading at around ₹154,090 per 10 grams. Silver futures were up 0.29% at ₹240,100 per kg at around 9:13 a.m.
International markets showed spot gold largely steady at around $4,344 an ounce, while US gold futures were near $4,382. The prices of gold and silver are influenced by global monetary policy, currency movements, geopolitical developments, inflation expectations, and investment demand.
