Indian Gold and Silver Prices See Sharp Fluctuations Amid International Market Volatility
Gold and silver prices continue to fluctuate in domestic and international markets. According to recent data, 24-carat gold is trading at around ₹1.55 lakh per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold is around ₹1.43 lakh per 10 grams. Silver, on the other hand, is priced at approximately ₹2.35 lakh per kilogram.
The prices of these precious metals are influenced by various factors, including international market movements and domestic bullion markets. Recently, MCX gold declined before recovering, while silver saw significant volatility during trading sessions.
Cities in India also experience varying rates for gold and silver due to local taxes, transportation costs, dealer margins, and other market factors. For example, the price of 22-carat gold in Delhi is ₹1,39,330 per 10 grams, while in Mumbai it's ₹1,39,180.
