Indian Gold Futures Plummet Amid Weakened Spot Demand
On August 25, gold futures in India fell to Rs 1,63,109 per 10 grams on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) for October delivery. This decline was driven by a decrease in spot demand.
The price drop was also reflected globally, with gold futures declining by 0.23% to USD 4,641.42 per ounce in New York.
Analysts pointed out that the weaker spot demand was the primary reason for the decline in precious metal prices.
