Indian Gold Futures Prices Surge to Record High

Gold futures prices in India rose significantly on Wednesday, August 26, due to firm spot demand. According to reports, gold prices reached Rs 1.62 lakh per 10 grams in futures trade, marking a gain of Rs 115 from the previous day.

The Multi Commodity Exchange saw the yellow metal contract for October delivery trading at Rs 1,62,997 per 10 grams with a business turnover of 674 lots. Analysts attribute this rise to market participants creating fresh positions in response to strong spot demand.
