Gold prices in India have maintained a steady posture at the end of the week. The price of 24-karat gold has hovered around INR 1,56,670 per 10 grams and 22-karat gold has been recorded at INR 1,43,610 per 10 grams.
Despite some regional variations due to local duties and transportation costs, market rates remain largely uniform across major metropolitan hubs. In financial hubs like Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, 24-karat gold stands at INR 15,667 per gram (INR 1,56,670 per 10 grams), while 22-karat retail standard is priced at INR 14,361 per gram (INR 1,43,610 per 10 grams). Delhi reflects marginally higher figures, with 24-karat retail quotes touching INR 15,682 per gram.
Buyers are advised to verify purity standards before making a purchase. Ensuring items carry the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) hallmark and a unique Hallmark Unique Identification (HUID) number remains essential for verifying quality and securing proper resale value.
