Indian Gold Prices Near ₹1.55 Lakh as Spot Gold Surges to $4,495
Gold prices in India rose on August 12, driven by gains in international bullion prices. Spot gold traded near $4,495 per ounce, a 1% increase from the previous session.
The rally also pushed MCX gold closer to ₹1.55 lakh per 10 grams, although it failed to cross this mark during trading hours.
Domestic buyers can expect higher prices for 24K, 22K, and 18K gold, with rates ranging from ₹15,486 to ₹11,614 per gram, depending on the purity category.
City-wise gold rates varied across major cities in India, with Delhi recording the highest 24K rate at ₹1,55,280 per 10 grams.
The Federal Reserve's next policy move remains a key consideration for investors, as crude oil prices remain elevated and US inflation data is expected soon.
