Indian Gold Prices Remain Stable Amid Festive Demand
Gold and silver prices in India remained relatively stable on September 22. In the retail market, gold is mainly traded in two purities, 24-karat and 22-karat. While 24-karat gold is considered purest, 22-karat gold is preferred for jewelry due to its strength and durability.
The prices of gold are influenced by several factors, including the international gold price, the US dollar exchange rate, and domestic jewelry demand, especially ahead of the festive season. The latest rates show that 24K Gold was priced at ₹1,54,720 per 10 grams in Delhi, while 22K Gold was priced at ₹1,41,840.
Among top jewellers, Joyalukkas and Malabar Gold & Diamonds quoted similar prices for 22-karat gold, at ₹14,170 and ₹14,285 per gram respectively. Tanishq's 22K gold rate stood at ₹14,215 per gram.
