Indian Gold Prices Remain Steady Amid Global Economic Uncertainty
Gold prices in India remained steady on July 25, 2026, offering stable rates for jewellery buyers and investors despite market fluctuations earlier this week. The current gold price stands at ₹14,508 per gram for 24K gold, with a slight increase from recent levels.
The global economic uncertainty, weaker US dollar, sustained buying by central banks, and investor focus on upcoming US inflation data have contributed to the continued high prices of gold. Silver prices remained largely unchanged at around ₹240 per gram or approximately ₹2,40,000 per kilogram.
City-wise rates show Chennai reporting the highest gold prices among major Indian cities. The ongoing Middle East conflict has strengthened silver, but gold remains below ₹1.45 lakh due to a slight day-on-day correction.
