Indian Gold Prices Rise Amid International Market Trends

Gold prices in India rose across major bullion markets on August 16, while silver prices declined. According to market reports, gold prices increased by ₹2,060 to ₹2,250 per 10 grams in most cities, except Chennai where the price rose by ₹1,810 to ₹1,970 per 10 grams.

Meanwhile, silver prices dropped by as much as ₹4,900 per kilogram. As of Sunday, 24-carat gold was trading between ₹1,55,130 and ₹1,55,280 per 10 grams in most major bullion markets, while 22-carat gold was being sold in the range of ₹1,42,200 to ₹1,42,350 per 10 grams.

The precious metal market has been influenced by international trends, with both gold and silver recording gains on a weekly basis. During the previous week's trading, 24-carat gold gained up to ₹3,490 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold increased by up to ₹3,200 per 10 grams.
